What is power quality analysis?
Power quality analysis is the measurement and engineering assessment of how well an electrical supply and the loads connected to it keep voltage and current within acceptable limits. It looks at harmonics, THD/THDi, voltage variations, power factor, unbalance, flicker, load profile and maximum demand, usually through continuous monitoring at the incoming supply, distribution panels or specific loads.
What does a turnkey EV charging infrastructure provider do?
A turnkey provider manages the full path from site feasibility to energization: load and demand study, power quality assessment, utility approvals, electrical design, transformer and LV upgrades, civil and trenching works, cabling, charger installation, testing, commissioning, energization and post-installation verification, all through one coordinated team.
How do I know if my facility has enough spare load?
Compare the measured maximum demand plus the planned new load with the capacity of the incoming supply, transformer, main switchboard and cables. A load assessment based on measurements is more reliable than nameplate estimates alone.
When is an Active Harmonic Filter required?
An Active Harmonic Filter (AHF) is considered when measurements show harmonic distortion above acceptable limits, or when harmonic currents are heavily loading transformers and cables, especially where the load varies. Passive options such as detuned capacitor banks or reactors suit some networks. The choice is made from measured data rather than assumed in advance.
How are utility approvals handled?
We prepare and submit the technical applications and drawings the utility requires (including DEWA where applicable), respond to comments, coordinate inspections and support final energization. Requirements and timelines vary by project and authority.
